Manage imported companies with clear limits and privacy
Import an existing business to run pivot analysis, market expansion, and competitive intelligence. Saved companies are tier-based to prevent data sprawl; you own your data and can delete it at any time.
Saved companies are enforced by plan limits from featureGate.js. Founder+ unlocks imports; Free/Starter remain new-idea only. Business/Enterprise support audit logs and API usage (see Team Collaboration for roles).

Company profiles, uploads, and analysis outputs stay scoped to your workspace. Deleting a saved company deletes linked analyses and attachments.
Avoid secrets/credentials—store them in your own secret manager.
We do not sell or share imported data. Access is limited to your account (and teammates you explicitly invite on collaboration-enabled plans).
Request deletion/export anytime via support if you need assistance.
Do not upload regulated data unless you have the right to do so. Anonymize customer details when possible to reduce risk.

- Basic profile: name, industry, markets, ICP, pricing model.
- Current performance: channels, rough revenue bands, churn/retention notes.
- Competitive context: key competitors, differentiators, GTM.
- Risk & compliance flags: regulated data, certifications in-scope.

- Free/Starter: new ideas only; saved companies not available.
- Founder: 1 saved company for pivot/expansion analysis.
- Growth: up to 3 saved companies for multi-market testing.
- Business: up to 10 saved companies for portfolios/agencies.
- Enterprise: unlimited saved companies + API access.

How we protect your data
- Role-based access (collaboration) to prevent cross-account access.
- Delete a saved company to remove linked analyses and artifacts.
- No marketing reuse of your imported data; used only to generate your reports.
- Do not upload secrets or credentials; keep those in your own secret manager.
- No model training: imports are not used to train shared models.

Data lifecycle (imports)
- Capture: import basic profile + optional attachments for context.
- Scope: data is used to generate your analyses; no cross-customer training.
- Control: delete a saved company to remove linked analyses/artifacts.
- Export: request a copy of saved company data via support if needed.
- Retention: deleted companies are removed from saved lists and linked artifacts; caches are purged on the next processing cycle.
If you operate in regulated industries, validate this workflow with your compliance counsel before uploading customer or production data.

- Collaboration plans: owners/admins can see all saved companies; editors/viewers follow assigned roles.
- Single-tenant scoping: no cross-account visibility.
- Optional: pause imports anytime if you want idea-only mode.
